Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. Her birthplace was in Passaic (New Jersey) on 19th June 1978. Her father is Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. Her parents raised her within Queens, New York. After she turned 10 years old, old the family moved towards the Dominican Republic, where they would live for the next seven years. Zoe began to develop an appreciation for dance during her time in the Dominican Republic. The prestigious ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy Zoe was taught ballet along with other forms of dancing.
