Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. The first time she acted was in the 1996 TV film Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for a small role for her in Starship Troopers. She struggled with the transition into acting since models were not considered as an actor, so they generally were offered small roles. Amy never gave up. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into main roles for the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing more than a decade. Amy worked on many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she played an enduring character.
